The Boldest Purple shampoo? Bold Uniq

Today we have another episode in our purple products series.
One of the questions that I get asked daily is about purple shampoo. Does this brand work, does that brand work? And honestly, I don’t know unless I try them. And that’s what this series is about—trying all different brands of purple shampoo and giving you an honest review of how it performed on my hair.
One of the brands that I reached out to was Bold Uniq, because they seemed like they have a very good product. They were willing to send me some shampoo.
We’re going to unbox this together. Inside the box, there is Bold Uniq’s purple shampoo and also a detangling brush. They didn’t send me a conditioner in this box. I’m not sure why; maybe they thought that the shampoo was going to be the cure-all for my brassiness woes. I’m just going to use my regular conditioner, because I need to use a conditioner. The conditioner that I normally use is Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine. I buy that myself, and it is my favorite one.

I’m back from washing, drying, and styling my hair. Now I’d like the share my experience with you about using the Bold Uniq purple shampoo.
The #1 thing that I love about this shampoo is that my hair feels ultra soft.
So, even thought this didn’t come with a conditioner (and I used my own conditioner) my hair came out super soft and was very easy to straighten. It was almost straight after blow drying—no tangles, which is important.
It didn’t turn my hair blue, but it left a tiny bit of a blue cast to my hair. I didn’t leave it in for the full two minutes; I rinsed my hair after one minute.
Let me read you something on the back. “It’s suitable for blonde, bleached, highlighted and grey hair.” It recommends using gloves and did come with a glove, which I didn’t use. I didn’t notice any staining on my hands. “This shampoo gives great results as it is stronger than a traditional purple shampoo.” It is ultra pigmented, so if you have blonde hair and want to turn it straight into grey, I imagine that you could leave it in for longer than 5 minutes and get great results., this shampoo could work for you.
I like the smell of this a whole lot. Earlier in the season we’ve seen shampoos that had no scent, shampoos that had a perfume scent, shampoos that had a chemical smell. This one has a light citrus scent. My hair smells nice. It’s very subtle.
This shampoo is a vegan and cruelty-free product. I do want to tell you that every product in this series is a cruelty-free product. I only seek out cruelty-free brands. So, you can be assured that if you’re seeing it on my channel or blog that it is a cruelty-free product.
