Colored Contacts with Silver Hair
I used to always dream about wearing different colored contacts and pretending I had exotic colored eyes. Recently, I made that dream come true by ordering several pairs of contacts online. When searching for colored prescription contacts, I came across many companies that offer this type of fashion contacts. I decided to try out the company TTDEYE. The ordering process is easy. I was able to select the prescription that I wanted.
Here are the 9 contacts that I ordered
Fairy Pink-Purple - These contacts are one of my favorite to wear. They are the only contacts that I have right now that look close to my natural eye color. Since the center of the contact is clear (with the pink and purple only around the perimeter), they are very natural looking—from a distance. Of course, up close, you can easily spot the “fairy dust.”
2. Ocean Purple - This fantasy color is very subtle from a distance. They actually make my eyes look like a darker color from a distance. Up close, you can notice the purplish tone. Since my eyes are green, the purple looks a little bit brown. I think on darker brown eyes, this ocean color will completely sparkle!
3. Pearl Grey - The pigment color on these contacts are a vanilla/off-white color. They are strong and powerful—definitely the lightest and brightest of all the colors I tried. I love these contacts, but I do have to admit that they have a vampire or werewolf effect on my look. I may be imagining this, but when I wear these contacts, I feel my face looks wider. Is there any truth to this claim?
4. Queen Blue - This color is absolutely dreamy! I feel that they look so very similar to the Polar Lights Blue. One difference is that the color of the Queen Blue fades to a yellow toward the center and has a small clear window in the center. This means that the color is more consistent right to my pupil rather than showing much of my natural color. This probably doesn’t show up much on dark colored eyes. I also feel in contrast tot he Polar Lights Blue, that these are a “softer” and “blurry” contact giving that “dreamy” feel.
5. Hawaii Purple - This pair of contacts is one of my daily go-to contacts. Unless you’re viewing this as an up-close photo, the aqua/blue/purple contact looks natural yet intriguing in person. They are also very comfortable to wear in contrast to a few others (most notably the Egypt Blue and Pearl Grey.
6. Donut Blue - These contacts are also one of my favorite contacts to wear in videos. Even though the blue color covers the perimeter of my iris, it is heavily pigments (very closely arranged dots printed on the contact) and glows as the strongest blue of all the contacts. In any video where my eyes seem to glow a strong medium blue, I’m probably wearing these ones.
7. Egypt Blue - These contacts are the most pigmented of all 9 pairs. This is the only pair with an outlined black perimeter. There are highly concentrated blue and yellow dots throughout the whole contact with only a small clear opening in the center.
These are definitely my least favorite pair!
Since there are so many dots printed on this contact, they are stiffer (and thicker?) than the others; this makes them rather uncomfortable to wear. Also, since they are printed on right up until the center, I have limited peripheral vision. I feel like the colored part easily shifts over the pupil and blurs my vision.

8. Galaxy Pink - These contacts look super cute in their case. They probably look dynamite on dark eyes!!! On green eyes, however, the pink isn’t nearly concentrated enough to show up much on my green eyes. The green and pink seem to mix together creating a tan color. I’m not impressed.
9. Polar Lights Blue - These contacts are very pretty and are comfortable to wear. There is a “crystal clear” quality to them as opposed to the “softness” of the Queen Blue. The only thing that I do not like about these contacts is that the pigmentation doesn’t come close enough to the center. I can see quite a bit of green poking through!
As far as comfort goes, I have noticed that the contacts with less colored dots fit better and feel more comfortable on the eyes.
The least comfortable pair is the Egypt Blue which are almost solid on color.
Observations
Most contacts are designed to be worn on dark brown eyes. Contacts like the Pink Galaxies show up really well on dark brown eyes. They don’t show their true color on green eyes, however.
If I needed to rank them from most favorite to least favorite:
